Dr. Till Vogel

Till was born and raised in Frankenberg/Sa. He studied chemistry at TU Dresden and did his Bachelor and Master thesis in the group of Prof. Peter Metz on the topic of total synthesis of terpenoids. In 2018, he joined the group of Prof. Tanja Gaich at the University of Konstanz working on the total synthesis of the diterpene natural product euphorikanin A for his PhD thesis. In 2022 he returned to TU Dresden to teach organic chemistry in the teacher training course (“Lehramt Chemie”). His current research is focused on the development and synthesis of bioactive molecules utilizing protein-ligand docking. Outside of the university Till enjoys cooking, bouldering, playing chess and visiting theatre performances and concerts.
